Week 27 - Elder Morse & the oil incident!

I think I already told you that my new comp's name is Elder Morse but now that I've spent a week with him I can give you some more information. He is from Arizona and has been out in the mission for 7 and a half months. He is a great missionary and is really talkative and friendly to everyone.
So about a month ago a member gave us a bottle of consecrated oil and we've been using it for blessings. Yesterday morning I walked in on Elder Morse cooking with it and I told him it was consecrated and he said "What? I've been cooking with this for 3 days?" We asked our mission president if there is anyway to un-consecrate oil and he said no. Not really important but a funny story. Also we have been deep cleaning our apartment.

Week 24 - A haircut and free shoes!!

My haircut and my new shoes. My second week here  Elder Hawkins and I drove to the mission office to get him a new nametag. While I was there one of the Elders who serves there gave me these half-boots just because they were there. They were brand new so that was sweet. I've almost worn them out now though. Love ya!

Week 23 - Tracting with dogs and burnt pizza

The two dogs who followed us around for about an hour and a half when we were tracting a neighborhood and the pizza that E. Hawkins put in the oven and then forgot about until I noticed that our apartment was smoky.

Weeks 21 & 22 - Elder Hawkins and blue feet in the big city!

This last week has been really cold. One night we were walking around in 5 degree weather! When we got back to our apartment I took off my shoes and my feet were almost entirely blue. I had like a mini heart attack before I realized that was just some kind of dye or something that came from the inside of my shoes after they got wet with snow. It was pretty funny afterwards actually.

My new companion is Elder Hawkins and he is from England more specifically somewhere just below London (Kent I think but I'm not sure.) He is pretty fun. He jokes around a lot and loves to be a missionary. He is a super energetic guy who loves to go out and do the work!

Week 18 - Cabin in the woods & a fake moustache

Here is the cabin we stay in.

These are pictures of my area. I see a lot of deer here, which is what these are.
They are everywhere. Also I saw some peacocks. That was weird.

Me playing with a fake moustache.

Week 16 - Baptism and a Cross

On Saturday our investigator Aaron got baptized. It was really interesting planning
for that because the day before we had to change the location of the baptism. But it all worked out fine.

For p-day our district hiked up to a huge cross that is on a hill in Colville

I like all of the sticky notes that were in the box, I put them in the front
of my journal with the rest of the notes I have been collecting.
